Naples, Florida, November 14th, 2017– Local law firm, Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. announces that Sara Hanley of Hanley Law Group has joined the Firm in an of counsel relationship this month. Sara has practiced in the areas of securities and commodities arbitration and litigation for the last 10 years. Woodward, Pires & Lombardo (www.wpl-legal.com) has offices in Naples and Marco Island, and has been serving the residents of Southwest Florida since 1971, making the Firm one of the oldest in the area.
Sara has focused her practice on representing investors nationwide who have lost their savings and retirement funds as a result of their brokerage accounts being mishandled. Sara represents investors in claims against their brokers, broker dealers, investment advisors, financial advisors, and insurance companies. Sara is experienced in providing representation for investors who have been the victims of financial fraud, negligence and unsuitable investments. Sara has experience in prosecuting claims against the major Wall Street brokerage firms.
Sara has extensive experience in the areas of securities litigation and arbitration, including securities class actions, numerous arbitrations and trials, mediations, and settlements of claims on behalf of investors. Sara also serves as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) and the National Futures Association (“NFA”). Sara is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Sara is duly licensed to practice law in both Florida and North Carolina. Sara graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and attended law school at Nova Southeastern University, Shephard Broad School of Law where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Throughout her legal career Sara has dedicated numerous hours to the community by working on both political campaigns as well as providing legal services to non-profit organizations. Sara has been featured in various publications including Bloomberg Business, Financial and Economic News, Investment News, Lawyers Weekly, and the Law Journal. Sara is a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association, Collier County Bar Association, Collier County Women’s Bar Association and Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Sara has resided in Naples for four (4) years and is involved locally at the Community School of Naples where her daughter attends first grade.
